TRIP TO MALTA
DAY 1 (17 July):
You will start your adventure taking a flight at 17.05h to Madrid. From Madrid you will take another flight to Malta and you will arrive at Malta airport at 00.15h. Previously you will have hired a car and you will pick it up at the same airport. Once in Malta you will settle in the Balluta Hill House hotel.
DAY 2 (18 July):
To start exploring Malta, on the second day we will visit its capital, Valletta. In the morning you will visit the Cathedral of Saint Juan and you will go to the main museums of the city which are the Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of National Archeology. At lunchtime you can enjoy tipical Maltese food. In the afternoon you will visit the three cities: Vittoriosa, Senglea and Copiscua.
DAY 3 (19 July):
On the third day you will take the car and go to the north of Malta to take a turist cruise. This cruise will pass through the islands of Comino, Blue Lagoon and Gozo. In Blue Lagoon it will be 1.5 hours and in Gozo 3 hours. This activity lasts all day and on the cruise you can enjoy 10 meter slides and all kinds of food.
DAY 4 (20 July):
On this day you will visit one of the most beautiful villages in Malta, Marsaxlokk, a fishing village in the south. On the way to this town you will go to the Ghar Dalam Cave, one of the largest underground caves. In Marsaxlokk you will walk through its beautiful port that has some very characteristic colorful boats and you will visit the parish of San Pedro. A good place to eat in Marasxlokk is the restauran La Nostra Padrona that offers seafood form there.
DAY 5 (21 July):
On this day you will leave the hotel early and take the car to go to Zurrieq. Zurrieq is the town where the Blue Grotto is, a set of sea caves. On the coast you will take a traditional boat with a sailor and visit these natural caves. Back home you can visit the megalithic temples of Hagar Quim and Mnajdra.
DAY 6 (22 July):
On the sixth day you will visit the cities of Rabat and Mdina. Mdina was the old capital and we find in it the Cathedral of Saint Paul and the Vilhena Palace. In Rabat you can explore its narrow streets. After having been walking all day you will go to Gnejna Bay, a beautiful beach.
DAY 7 (23 July):
The last day you will be tired so the best plan for this day is to visit the Malta National Aquarium and have a good time with the family. After the visit you will collect the luggage and go to the airport. At the airport you will leave the car you have hired and at 14:05h you will take a flight to Barcelona. From Barcelona you will take another flight to Malaga and you will have arrived home.
